No matter how many times I point out both the Pentagon and Heritage studies which clearly show that the level of education and income among recruits exceeds the general population I still get some idiot repeating the same garbage he read somewhere about the volunteer Army being a refuge for people without any other opportunities.

Unfortunately, even this Kerry idiocy didn't help inform people about the quality of our military personnel.
 

OK, we all agree Kerry is an idiot and this latest gaffe has pretty much ended any political aspiration for becoming president.

However, MRC, I am curious, do you believe that American soldiers should die for the current Iraqi government? Should we be spending $1.5 billion per week supporting the highly corrupt and increasingly anti-American Iraqi government?
 

I just can't imagine that he would be so dumb as to say something like this. However, I hope he wins the nomination in 2008 Rob, because he is a much easier target for political ads than anyone else in the party with the exception of Howlin Howie Dean.

Rob, I was there for almost six months about 10 kilometers from the most dangerous suberb of Baghdad, Sadr City. I think we are doing a great job, and yes I support the war despite the fiscal stress it puts on our nation. Soldiers die in every conflict, and it is no less or more of tragedy. I have told you before that there were two mistakes made: 1) We should have went in with 300,000 Troops to seal the borders 2) We should have protected the national archives.
